Archaeologist found a wheat seed buried in a pyramid’s stone. The ancient seed dated back to 2,500 BC. What did they do with this timeless treasure? They planted it! Incredibly, when the seed was buried in fertile soil, it sprouted and grew! Even after sitting dormant for 4,500 years, the seed had life to give.
This powerful story speaks volumes to me. We often feel locked up between stones wondering when the fruit will come. Maybe we are not growing because we are planted in the wrong soil?
Here are 3 keys to help you unlock the life inside of you:
1. Test your soil
Make the truth of God’s word your planting ground. If you find your soil is toxic, then it is time to uproot yourself. Assess the quality of your thoughts and you will know the strength behind your harvest. Your life is only as powerful as the beliefs that feed you. Pull your roots out of anxiety and insecurity and ground them in some rich soil.
“You have been born again, not of perishable seed, but of imperishable, through the living and enduring word of God.” 1 Peter 1:23
Re-plant your precious mind in God’s word. Have your source in the Rock of Ages. Let the Truth back you up. Get your opinion from the Living Word. Grow on purpose.
2. Be a giver
Plants and seedlings always grow outwards. It is never healthy to cave inwards. Get outside of your own head and plant your focus.
First, give to God. We are designed to be worshipers of God. We don’t function well any other way. Worship is so much more than singing – it is the position of your heart. During the day focus on the radiant love Jesus has for you. Being God focused will heal your heart’s soil. The goal is to know Him like we know a friend.
Second, give to others. Plants grow because of pollination. Investing in other people does not deplete us, it keeps us healthy and balanced.
Generosity keeps us alive!
3. Your words are the water to your seedlings
Is your soil dry? Maybe things are dormant in your life because you stopped talking to them! Your words direct your growth. It takes a lot of faith to talk to something that is not talking back to you. Seeds appear to be wasted or thrown away before they ever pay you back. Speak into the emptiness in front of you and see what God does. God will reward your words spoken in faith.
Keep your mouth from speaking the lies of fear. Fear will ice your warm heart. Fear will cage your growth and box you in. Fear is not your friend. Its promises are void & it drops you in the dust. Fear is incapable of feeding your growth. It is time for you to have the courage of a revivalist, a world shaker, and an atmosphere maker.
Reach out, speak up, and be grounded with faith. God will break through for you.
Today is your day
Hear God whisper to your heart, “It is your turn to come alive!” The fact you were born into this time is proof that you have something this generation needs! God made you because today needs you!
