A MINISTRY OF COMPASSION
Jesus Comes is a Christian ministry headquartered in Tirunelveli, India. Founded by Bro. D. John Rabindranath in 1963, the ministry focuses on spreading the message of Jesus Christ and providing spiritual support through prayer and counseling. It is known for its prayer garden in Tirunelveli, where people can call in for prayer and receive guidance.
The ministry conducts various outreach programs, family prayer gatherings, and events to share the teachings of Christianity and offer hope and healing to individuals facing challenges. Jesus Comes also publishes literature, produces television and radio programs, and engages in humanitarian activities. The ministry is committed to bringing spiritual transformation and impacting lives through its various initiatives.
Our Story
In a vision on 9th May 1963, Bro D John Rabindranath saw the Lord appearing in person and commanding him to preach His Second Coming. In the same way that John the Baptist was chosen to preach the coming of the Lord, Bro D John Rabindranath was chosen to preach the Second Coming of Jesus Christ.
The 7th of October 1969 was a day of great significance in the life of Bro D John Rabindranath. In that day, the Lord Jesus Christ commanded him to embark on an independent mission to preach the Gospel to the gentiles. In accordance with the Lord’s instructions, he was accompanied from place to place by three associates. This ministry was primarily concerned with visiting villages, preaching the Gospel, and praying for the sick, the destitute, the poor, and those in need. During his preaching tour, he visited more than 3,200 villages.
The then President of India, Dr. Radhakrishnan, interviewed Bro D John Rabindranath at the Rashtrapathi Bhavan in New Delhi in 1965. A question that stood out to the President was, “Why do you insist that Christ alone is the living God?” Brother replied, “There are many luminous bodies in the sky, the moon and the stars radiating light. But they are all eclipsed by the radiance of the Sun. Even so Christ, who is the light of the world eclipses all other angels”. Brother D John Rabindranath and his associates preached in the Andaman Islands in 1972, guided by the Holy Spirit. During the same year, the Lord commanded him to preach the Gospel in the churches, as well as to provide messages concerning His Second Coming.
