Does God Love Me?

The question etched in your soul.

Whether you believe there is a God or not, you have an internal longing to know that your life matters. Finding people who value you is your life’s quest.

Every heart burns on love.

Whether you accept it, run from it, or laugh at it – wanting to be loved is the ultimate issue.

I don’t know what stories you have heard about God. I don’t know the human examples who have shaped your view of him. I don’t know the life you have had. I only know and trust one thing.

God is love.

His name. His ID. His song. His fame. His code.

The cost of knowing God by any other name will bankrupt you.

MISTAKEN IDENTITY

People have tried to explain God in many different ways. Maybe they have painted a warped picture of him for you? Or in some attempt of making sense out of a terrible situation, they tried to explain why it was God’s “will” that something tragic happened. The first is a forgery and the second is a hijack of his nature. Don’t let broken people redefine a flawless Lover. And don’t listen when people call God by another name. God does not look like the images humanity paints him to be and he is not the author of terror. If we let people speak louder than God then we are actually following them instead of him. He is the author who has the final say.

NAMES MATTER

God introduced himself by love, so I believe him.

Do you need proof? God did not want his life without you, so he came down. Our sin divided our connection so he repaired the break in our relationship. God made the first move, and the second, and the third. God made the final move. He is not distant because He is holding you right now. Even if you hate him, he loves. Because his love is not about who you are, it is about who he is. His love for you is unbreakable. He loves because that is who he is.

WHAT IS LOVE?

Real affection is pursuing another’s good more than your own. God valued your life above the life of his own son. God not only gave son Jesus, he gave a part of himself. His love is undying and he died to prove it! Death could not even kill his love because Jesus came back to life three days later. God has some tough love! He will never give up on you.

REJECT REJECTION

I grew up knowing God, but there was an invisible ceiling between us. The divide was my distrust in his unconditioned love for me. I feared rejected. One day, he broke the distance and I actually felt his love for me. If you are under that ceiling, ask him to break it and prove his love. He will make it real for you.

When fear knocks at your door saying your life is not worth living, or depression is whispering in your ear that you are worthless, remember who you are. You are a child of a champion, so that makes you a fighter! You are a loved son, a loved daughter. You are accepted by God, this is who you are. Nothing can take that away from you. He broke depression’s back, hatred’s rage, the lies’ voice, and your mistakes’ grip off of your life. It is time to live by your identity.
